insulted by a cradle of filth fan... you must feel dirty Insulted for liking Cannibal Corpse by a Cradle of Filth fan? Hardly an insult... Do feel slightly dirty for promoting 2 Cannibal Corpse offshoot bands in a row though. Poor form really, I don't like Corpse that much.

Malmsteen.. I think it's called 'Inspirations'
He covers Deep Purple's 'Mistreated' and 'Child in Time' .. I prefer Deep Purple's 'California Jam 1975' (1974 maybe?) version of 'Mistreated' but this one is pretty good.

Nothing right now, but I've been freaking on "Buried Death" by Japan's "Coffins" lately.

i like the version of mistreated on rainbows on stage DLP... a heavily covered song that one, but rightfully so on a rainbow LP of course!

I have Rainbow Live in Munich 77 on DVD with Dio on vocals, they do Mistreated but I like the California Jam more, (that's Coverdale on vocals). Apparently there's a version where Coverdale cries while he's singing it, lol!
The singing in the Malmsteen one is not as good Dio or Coverdale, but the guitar is awesome and the solo is sweet!
I like the rawness of the California Jam album, has a really cool dirty live sound. I think Deep Purple / Rainbow etc were always better live than recorded.
Do you know who else covered it?

I think you're right about the LP being different from the DVD.. I think we bought the dvd thinking it would be the same as the cd we have and it wasn't.. something like that. Metallica?! Not sure I would use the word 'killer' to describe Whitesnake..
