It was a blast! There was a great turn out and each band had great support from the crowd. Omarytr - This was the first time I had seen them. What seemed like a mix of traditional rock/heavy metal with modern progressive and very mellow parts with mainly clean vocals but had some great deeper harsher metal sounds.. They had a lot of energy on stage but did lack some finer catchy moments Tranquil Deception - Well i'm in the band so it would be fairly unfair of me to sit here and rant about how good we were haha. But for the sake of this review i'll at least describe the band with our usual moniker of Drone with post rock (attempting for a cross of Sun O))) with Agalloch) I certainly had a lot of fun playing to all the people there. I was a little worried about our last track which had its majority written on the same day as the gig. Our set could have deserved to be a bit longer but we will negotiate that issue when I return from travelling around the world later in the year. CHUD - Quite a niche death metal band with a lot of presence on stage, i dont really listen to this type of music so i'm not quite sure what else to use to describe it. Ironwood - Wow, i really shouldn't need to say more but if you haven't seen this band it is one of the 'must do' s' before you die. The combination of black, prog and folk at times is seamless in weaving its melody and story telling. A combination of extreme metal and mystical melodies that leaves few its superior.

Missed Omatyr but heard they were ok.
T.D. sounded a fair bit bigger than usual, dunno why, just sounded a bit more "together" which is cool. Drone isn't really my thing but still, credit where it's due.....
Chud were pretty cool, reminded me a bit of God Among Insects for some reason, which is a good thing. I just reckon they need a better name (just my opinion)
Ironwood were great. I still find a lot of their stuff hard to get into, but a great band is a great band regardless, and they deserve the cudos.

Kudos not cudos.
And I agree about Chud, good band, rather poor name.

I demand TD play a drone version of either nutbush or macarena, so we can do an ultra slow dance!
