Not strictly Metal, but I always like to see some metal on this bill, even if just to annoy the normals... Expressions of Interest are now open for Indyfest 2009! Contact Bruce on 0400 398 784 for details! www.indyfest.com www.myspace.com/indyfest

I've only seen Moots before, from memory they are pretty good. I've not heard of any of the other bands.
Pretty disappointed that not even one metal band is on the bill. Such a shame, it's not really a satisfactory representation of the Canberra independent music scene without a metal band. Considering this is a government funded event, it should be equally inclusive of all genres.
Punishment played Indyfest a few years back. At 4pm, people (normals, that is) were still nursing hangovers from the night before, Punishment didn't help. Headaches all 'round! LOL.

Ah, won't attend then. Not worth paying money for something I probably won't like. Shame there's no metal this year, I might have shown up for at least that one band before going home.

Probably a smart choice.. If you're looking for something to do tonight, Chrome is on at The Holy Grail in civic.. It's not metal, it's a goth night, but metalheads are known to attend. I think it's about $6- to get in and there's tables outside, so if you can't stand the music, you can still hang out and admire the scenery..

Ahh, don't think the gf would enjoy me admiring the scenery too much. Might pop in one week have a look, check out the music. Also the $6 basics may or may not have anything to with it.

Fair enough.. Oops. She's allowed to admire the scenery too, you know! I was going to go to Indyfest, but I really couldn't justify missing Iron Chef for it. Did stop in at Chrome (after Iron Chef, of course), they had a black and white theme and very few people weren't on theme. I thought that was pretty dedicated of everyone.
